The Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engr. Raufu Olaniyan, has denied a report saying he will never end rift with his boss, Governor Seyi Makinde explaining that he had no rift with the Governor as being speculated.
Penpushing reports that,Olaniyan was reacting to report in an online medium(not Penpushing), stating that even if there was, as a true Muslim, he would seek for resolution and not take a stand that was contrary to common sense
The Deputy Governor described report headlined ” Governor Makinde’s Deputy, Olaniyan Has Vowed Never To End Rift With His Boss” as not only baseless, but a figment of the author’s imagination.
Penpushing further reports that, a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Deputy Governor, Mr. Omolere Omoetan, noted that he has a mandate to work with the Governor to serve the people of Oyo State as the Deputy Governor, adding that he was totally committed to doing so and would not be distracted by reports emanating from shady sources and mischief makers.
The Deputy Governor urged people to disregard the statement attributed to him by the phantom source quoted in the malicious report by the said online who he pointed out that, in recent times, had become notorious in the propagation of fake news.
Penpushing also reports that, Olaniyan stressed that for the avoidance doubt, he would continue to work assiduously with his boss to provide good governance to the people in line with governor’s ideals and vision.
The Deputy Governor however advised the forces working to cause disaffection between him and the Governor to look for better things to do as their machinations and conspiracies had failed on arrival.
