The Deputy Chief Whip of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ibrahim Isiaka, has endorsed Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2027 general election.

Penpushing reports Isiaka reaffirmed his support for Adeleye on Thursday while addressing party faithfuls under the auspices of EasyLife Movement conveyed at his instance at Ifo to address his supporters and reinforce the need for unity within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The federal lawmaker urged party members to close ranks and work collectively for the victory of the party, emphasizing that there should be no grudges, bitterness or actions capable of undermining the unity of the ruling party

“The APC primary election had come and gone and had produced candidates for the various elective positions, there should be no grudges, bitterness or actions capable of undermining the unity of the party’, e stated.

Penpushing further reports that Isiaka urged all tendencies within the party to put the primary contests behind them and channel their energy towards a common objective, including the success of All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates in the 2027 general election.

The Deputy Chief Whip reiterated Adeleye’s candidacy for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency and called on his supporters to join hands with other party members to mobilise votes for her and all candidates of the party.

Penpushing also reports that he noted that the party’s electoral performance in the Federal Constituency had shown encouraging growth across previous election cycles, expressing confidence that All Progressives Congress (APC) would secure even more votes in 2027

The federal lawmaker, therefore urged members to return to their respective wards and commence vigorous grassroots mobilisation and canvassing.

Penpushing reports that a leader of the party Chief Derin Adebiyi in his remarks said the primary election race had ended and should no longer be allowed to generate acrimony or division among party members.

The chieftain of the party, explained that the meeting was conveyed at the instance of Isiaka to sustain unity among his supporters and the wider All Progressives Congress (APC) family, stressing that all tendencies must now work towards the candidacy and victory of Adeleye.

Penpushing further reports that Adebiyi urged All Progressives Congress (APC) members to return to their wards, reconcile differences and mobilise voters en masse for the party at the poll.

The other party chieftains including Ganiyu Hamzat, Olumide Oduwole and Sogbamu commended Isiaka for his resilience and commitment to the party, describing the gathering as a demonstration of political maturity, party loyalty and belief in party supremacy.

Penpushing also reports that they stressed that the primary election was a concluded process and should not constitute a dividing line among party members, urging all faithful to commence massive grassroots canvassing and mobilisation for the party’s victory.

The candidate in her remarks, applauded Isiaka for convening the meeting, describing it as a significant demonstration of party supremacy and the progressive ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Penpushing reports that she said the gathering had reinforced the understanding that the party was bigger than individual interests, tendencies or past disagreements, stressing that no political difference should be allowed to stand between members and the collective objective of winning the 2027 election.

The former Commissioner called on party leaders, former aspirants, women, youths, ward executives and grassroots mobilisers to embrace genuine reconciliation and make the election a collective project.

Penpushing further reports that Adeleye expressed her readiness to work with every member of the party family, irrespective of their positions during the primary, noting that every relationship, structure and supporter remained an asset to the party.

“In the spirit of this meeting, I therefore urge all members of the party to return to their various wards with renewed commitment and unity, translating the spirit of reconciliation into massive votes for APC and a decisive victory in Ifo/Ewekoro and across our dear State”, she stated

Penpushing also reports that the gathering had in attendance Apex Leaders, Local Government and Ward leaders and stakeholders from Ifo and Ewekoro Local Government, including former Speaker, Rt Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat.

The others are Ifo All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Barrister Olumide Oduwole; Ewekoro All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Chief Ayinde Sogbamu; Local Government Chairmen, Idris Kushimo and Sikiru Adesina; House of Assembly candidates for Ifo I and Ewekoro, Fola Salami and Abiodun Adeleye; Governor’s Liaison Officers, Local Government and Ward Executive Committee members, among others.
