Gunmen suspected to be members of the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) on Saturday allegedly attacked Jogor Centre, venue of the state congress of a faction of the Oyo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Penpushing reports that no fewer than five people were injured while about 50 vehicles parked outside the venue were damaged, when the suspected hoodlums stormed the venue from the back gate.
The suspected hoodlums were shooting sporadically into the air and embarked on attack on anyone sighted at the venue, while one of the cars damaged belongs to Murhi International Television (MiTV) used to convey reporters to the scene
Penpushing further reports that, the hoodlums were also seen brandishing cutlass, axes, guns and other dangerous weapons, while a yet to be identified man who was at the venue as a delegate sustained matchet wounds .
The situation left many scampering for safety while the intervention of the combined security operatives on ground prevented the hoodlums from causing more damage, as the environment turned rowdy
