A hit and run truck driver has killed two occupants of a motorcycle in Akoo village along Ilisan-Ago-Iwoye road in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Penpushing reports that Public Relations Officer of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency(TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi made this known in a statement adding that the road crash occurred on Tuesday at about 1.13pm.
The agency spokesperson explained that the crash involved a truck and Bajaj Motorcycle, red colour with registration number TTN 647 VP, stating that eyewitnesses around the village, said the mini truck on high speed hitted the bike at the back and drove away, killing the occupants.
Penpushing further reports that Akinbiyi said as at the time of filing this report the presumed dead had been taken away by the family for the burial rite’s while the accidented bike had been taken to Papa Oscar cage for investigation.
The statement added that initially, traffic was partially affected by the accident explainingthat, with the efforts of officials of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) Ago Iwoye unit the road as at time of this report is free for passage.
