The traditional ruler of Isiala Umudi Community, Jewel Ndenkwo, in Oweri, located in Nkwere Local Government Area of Imo State has been abducted by gunmen, while his where about remain unknown as at the time of this report
Penpushing reports that, an eyewitness said the incident occurred at about 7 p.m. on Friday, when the gunmen after firing gun in the air whisked him away in front of one of his companies, Udekings Electronics, in the area.
The witness who owns a shop in the area said the monarch attempted to escaped but was overpowered by the gunmen, following the sporadic shooting, adding that they took him away while people were still moving about
Penpushing further reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the abductors are yet to establish contact with his family, while authorities of the Imo State Police Command was yet to issue any official statement on the development
