The Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo has inaugurated the 1st Phase of the Ibooro-Imasayi-Ayetoro 7kilometer road in Yewa North Local Government of the state, just as he has been urged to begin the construction of the remaining 14km

Penpushing reports that Abiodun in his remarks at the commissioning noted that to show and demonstrate commitment, his administration will flag off the second phase of the road to halt misgivings by mischief makers.

“I also want to make a pronouncement today that I have a instructed the Ministry of Works to immediately proceed here today to do an assessment from Ita- Oshin to Iboro. We will divide that road and begin an immediate reconstruction of the road so coming from Abeokuta will soon be pleasurable”, Abiodun said.

Penpushing further reports that Abiodun explained that the road project was conceived adding that  the legacy which is aimed at the Yewa North and Imeko which have an agricultural potential in becoming a bed basket of the nation.

“Many times you conceive a project and many times you dream of a project. Dreaming and conceiving is another thing implementing it and being given the grace to commission it is a totally different thing and I thank the Lord Almighty for giving me the grace to commission this laudable project alongside all of you today”, he emphasised

‘It is definitely another remarkable moment to  announce of our developmental drive in Ogun state. We will continue to work tirelessly and to be a responsive inclusive and participatory administration to ensure that we deliver the needed infrastructure across all the nooks and crannies of this beautiful state”

‘It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to this important occasion and we are here witnessing this completion and commissioning of the road that is the first phase of a two phased project that was conceived about two to three years ago’ .

‘You will realize that before our election we were commissioning a project particularly a road almost every week. But because of the electioneering process we had to put a pause to that”, Abiodun explained

‘I am super excited that following the success of our election and my swearing in that has given me the grace and privilege to be the Governor of Ogun state once again and I am resuming the commissioning project right here in Yewa land”

‘This underscores the importance that I personally and my administration by extension places on this significant senatorial district. We are a promise keeping administration and when I assumed office, I did promise that we will not develop any part of this state at the expense of another. I want to appreciate the Ibooro’s on taking us on a walk down the memory lane reminding us of how we got here and how it was conceived”.

‘Today this will be the third road being commissioned in Yewa land and this administration has commissioned more roads in Yewaland than any government in Ogun state . This land is important to me because it is the bread basket of this state’.

Penpushing also reports that the traditional ruler of the town Oba Lukman Adeleke Kuoye, appreciated the Governor for the road construction and made an appeal to the government to hasten the completion of the final phase so as to have a safe landing among the youths .

The Olu of Imasayi emphasized that his subjects and residents of adjoining towns and communities believed the commissioning should be extended to the remaining 14 kilometers.

“We want to commend the Governor today for deeming it fit to reconstruct the first phase, but concerning the other phase of the road construction, I want to appeal because we have been facing an lot of challenges from our youth’, he said.

‘They have been throwing a lot of pebbles and missiles that the Governor should not come to commission the road, he has not completed but this one is the first phase and we trust he would do the second”, he added
