A fire incident which started on Friday night and lasted till early hours of Saturday has consumed the new Lafia Motor Park in Nasarawa State, destroying goods worth millions of naira in the shops.
Penpushing reports that, no life was lost in the incident, but quantity of good lost could not be ascertain as at the time of filing this report, and it took the personnel of Fire Service hours to put out the fire
The State Coordinator of Fire Service, Hanatu George, speaking on the incident said the authorities got a distress call on Friday night and responded immediately, adding that investigation had begun to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Penpushing further reports that, one of the victims of the fire disaster, Ejike Igwe, a car spare parts seller, said his entire shop was razed by the inferno, and appealed for assistance from spirited Nigerians.
