The Enyo filling station, located in Zone 1, Wuse area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory(FCT) on Friday evening went up in flames following a loud explosion from a petrol tanker parked inside the fuel station.
Penpushing reports that residents of the area said they first heard a loud explosion before seeing the fire burn, adding that the incident occurred at about 7pm, just as findings showed as at the time of filing this report fire fighters are battling to extinguish the fire.
The eyewitness account said the fire started from the petrol tanker and spread to all the cars parked within the premises, while the fire fighters who earlier came were chased away by aggrieved residents for allegedly arriving late.
