The management and staff, as well as students of FadMaestro Group of Schools located in Orile-Igbein community in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State on Thursday, July 16, 2026 rolled out drums to celebrate the 10th anniversary and Founders Day of the institution.

Penpushing reports that the colourful ceremony was held within the college premises with number of activities which include academic exercise and social activities in adding glamour to the talk of the town events

The programme was transmitted live globally by Penpushing online television and had in attend parents, guardians and education stakeholders, journalists, well wishers as well as other dignitaries within and outside the state.

Penpushing further reports that programme of events includes Cultural dance, Poem: Weeping Palms presentation, first alphabetical dance, primary graduants / first award, palindrome and choir presentation

The others are health talk, ewii rendition, JSS 3 graduands / secondary award, choreography, fashion parade, unveiling of the school magazine, public opinion on impact of social media on social/family values, drama and unveiling the school prefects

Penpushing also reports that some projects which include recreational facilities such as the state of the art volley ball court, table tennis and indoor games were commissioned, as well as certificates distributed to students going to upper classes and outgoing students who performed creditably.

The ceremony equally witnessed various gifts which include cash presented to some extremely brilliant students, while the parents participated in dancing competition to add glamour to the events.

Penpushing reports that Johnson Ayodele (PhD), Professor of Criminology and Security Studies, from Unicaf University, Cyprus and Chairman of the school board delivered a lecture titled, ‘Analog Parents and Resilience of Digital Natives in the Context of Abduction in Nigeria’

The school management at the well packaged events honoured some members of staff, identified to have been pillar of support in view of their commitments towards developmental growth of the institution

Penpushing further reports that former Nigerian High Commissioner in United Kingdom, Ambassador Tunji Sarafa Isola, who was Chairman of the occasion took time to engage the students in academic exercise, which motivated them(students) to be focused ahead of their future.

The Chairman, who was a former Minister told the students on need to embrace education with seriousness, emphasizing that it is by so doing that they can attain success in life, stating that without education nobody can rise to top of a career

Penpushing also reports that Isola used himself as an example, explaining that it was because of sound education, he was able to rise to the top, stressing that education sharpen his career, and therefore students should also think in that direction

The proprietress of the schools, Deaconess Olufunke Fadugba earlier in her welcome speech established the fact that God has been navigating path of the schools in the last 10 years, describing Him as pathfinder and pillar of support

‘The journey in some instances has been tortuous. It has been lonely. It has been confusing. It has been overwhelming at some point. These existential challenges with spices of joy and fulfilment have made the journey worthwhile. With the support of God, my family, my mentors, my wonderful partners, the teachers and parents, we are rolling out the drums today. I appreciate you all for standing by me when it mattered most’, she said.

Penpushing reports that Fadugba stated that the management is renewing determination and commitment to remain a citadel of repute where the cognitive, affective and psychometric domains of children passing through the school will be effectively and appropriately nurtured to produce outstanding personalities.

‘Hence, our current expansion programmes such as provision of new primary school building to quality teachers, to recreational facilities such as the state of the art volley ball court, table tennis and indoor games. Our laboratories are not just standard but are being deployed for effective practicals to equip the children’, .

Penpushing further reports that Fadugba while acknowledging the challenges parents in Nigeria are currently going through, however, pointed out that the school is at the receiving end in terms of maintaining standard and holding teachers accountable, stressing that it is a teacher that is well remunerated and paid as at when due that can be held accountable.

‘It is for this reason we want to state that from next session we shall not allow debts beyond midterm. That is all school fees must be paid before midterm break. This is to reduce clashes/frictions with parents who take it personal when outstanding fees are demanded’, she stated.

Penpushing also reports that Fadugba announced that the school is transiting to having a management team of experts, adding that the proprietress, will still remain part of the management team.

The proprietress who is chairman editorial board of Penpushing Media explained that the decision is aimed to ensure sustainability of the school as a legacy, while it will deepen deliverables and productivity and will guarantee the prospect and stability of employment of teachers.

‘As our stakeholders, please be informed that the school is transiting to having a management team of experts. This has the following advantages: The Proprietress is gradually withdrawing from the day-to-day active operations of the school but remains part of the management.

‘It is to ensure sustainability of the school as a legacy. It will deepen our deliverables and productivity. It will guarantee the prospect and stability of employment of teachers. It will remove the vestiges of “its my family property” to a truly social facility promoting sound basic education. This transition is not totally immediate but we have set it in motion. We seek your further cooperation and understanding in making the school an enviable source of basic education for our children’, Fadugba added.
