The Ekiti State House of Assembly on Tuesday elected Hon Gboyega Aribisogan, representing Ikole constituency 1.as it’s new Speaker, during an election held at the plenary.
Penpushing reports that,the new Speaker, who hails from Ijesa- Isu Ekiti, was unanimously elected to replace the former former number one lawmaker ,Rt Hon Funminiyi Afuye, who died on 19 October, 2022.
The newly elected Speaker a two-term lawmaker, from the Ekiti North Senatorial District of the State defeated his co-contestant Hon Olubunmi Adelugba from Emure Constituency to emerge speaker, while until his election Aribisogan was , the Chairman, House Committee on Information.
