A frontline educationist and retired assistant headmistress Madam Grace Ibidunni Idowu has been reported dead at the age of 72, said to have left behind husband and four successful children, as well as siblings and grandchildren.

Penpushing reports that the family has announced the burial arrangements with service slated for Friday March 22, 2024 at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, located on NEPA road, Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The statement added that burial will hold at Lantoro Missionary Cemetery opposite Police Computer Training College, Kobape Road, Oke -Mosan axis of Abeokuta, while reception will take place at Spicy Hall, Ibara Housing Estate, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta.

Penpushing further reports that the deceased was born in Ìgbàgbọte Compound, Odo Eku in February 1952, commenced her educational journey at ECWA Primary School, Odo Eku, while her parents, Mr. Timothy Adewoye Aransiola and Mrs. Ramotu Adewoye, instilled in her values that would shape her life’s path.

The biography added that at Technical College Osogbo, Grace’s musical talent blossomed as she became the lead singer for her school band, adding that it was there that destiny orchestrated her meeting with her future husband, who, coincidentally, was the lead guitarist for his school band.

Penpushing also reports that the profile stated that their shared passion for music laid the foundation for their enduring companionship, and following her secondary education at Fakunle Major Commercial Grammar School, she ventured into the workforce, starting at the Savanna Sugar Company in Yola.

The biography added that her heart drew her back to Lagos, where she united with her beloved in marriage on the 10th of July, 1976, and subsequently, she embarked on a career in education, beginning at the Ministry of Agriculture in Ibadan before furthering her studies at Grade Two Teachers College in Iyana Offa, Ibadan.

Penpushing reports that in 1984, she commenced her teaching career at Army Children Primary School 2, Iwo Road, Ibadan, bringing her passion for knowledge and nurturing to her students, and that despite facing challenges such as sudden eye problems that temporarily halted her educational pursuits, she remained steadfast in her dedication to teaching.

The record has it that with the establishment of Osun State in 1992, she embraced new opportunities, serving in various capacities across the state until her retirement in 2012 as an Assistant Headmistress, and throughout her life, she found fulfillment in her roles as a devoted wife and mother, blessed with four children.

Penpushing further reports that she cherished her family above all else, finding joy in their love and companionship, while her legacy is one of resilience, dedication, and love.

Meanwhile, the deceased is survived by husband Ayodele Idowu and children including Ayokunle Idowu (Business Executive), Ayotunde Idowu, Ayodunni Asoh and Ayobami Idowu, as well as siblings: Olu Abogunrin, Mrs Juliana Oni and grandchildren
