Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced free delivery of Premium Motor Spirit popularly known as petrolto to six states across Nigeria, while maintaining its ex-depot price of N1,075 per litre.
Penpushing reports that this made known in a notice shared by the company on its official X handle on Wednesday, adding that the free petrol delivery will also be extended to Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
The company added that, the free delivery service covers Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna and Delta states, stating that the offer is available to customers purchasing a minimum of 250,000 litres of petrol.
The latest move comes shortly after Dangote Refinery met with stakeholders in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector to discuss cost-reflective pricing for petrol, while the engagement ended with stakeholders expressing support for further reductions in fuel prices.
Penpushing further reports that it would be recalled that the refinery had recently announced its fourth reduction in the gantry price of petrol, bringing it down to N1,075 per litre.
The President of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Abubakar Maigandi commenting on recent price movements, disclosed that the retail price of petrol had fallen by N125 per litre over the past three weeks, with pump prices now ranging between N1,155 and N1,299 per litre, depending on location and marketer.
