The move by a Non-Governmental Organisation, Youths Reoriented Initiative of Nigeria (AYRION) to ease out the Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta Prof Adewale Musa-Olomu by challenging his(Musa-Olomu) second term appointment has met a brick wall.

Penpushing reports that, this followed a judgment of the  Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta which threw out and dismissed the  suit  number FHC/ AB/ CS/ 100/21 instituted  by the body, declaring that the plaintiff failed to sufficiently showed any justifiable cause that the suit falls under  public interest

The trial judge, Justice (Mrs) O.O  Oguntoyinbo in her 30 pages judgment said the plaintiff has no  locus standi in instituting the suit, and  therefore awarded  N100,000.00  damages against the plaintiff

Penpushing further reports that, the lead defence counsel,  Kunle Kalejaiye, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in his reaction lauded the judgment describing it as  a  triumph of truth over falsehood.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, equally pointed out that, nobody can build  something on nothing, stressing that the judgment  is to illustrate the fact that truth has caught up with falsehood

Penpushing also reports that, the highly elated Medical Director,  in his comments said he was happy about the verdict of the court, stressing that God had ultimately allowed justice to prevail, and that the court has spoken well.

“I am extremely happy that God had ultimately allowed justice to prevail. I have repeatedly said it that this administration stands for justice. The court has spoken and we’re grateful unto God for that” ,he emphasised.

Penpushing reports that, Musa-Olomu, while further speaking thanked all his admirers and well wishers, as well as staffers of the institution who stood solidly behind him while the legal battle lasted.
