A Coalition Group of Civil Society Organizations in collaboration with associates of late Tunde Oladunjoye have concluded arrangements towards an evening tribute in honour of the deceased who passed on at age 58 in London Hospital.
Penpushing reports that the groups under the aegis of Tunde Oladunjoye burial platform initiated by Barrister Solomon Bankole commenced operations on Apri 5, 2025 with membership of 63 and so far responded positively towards the success of the event as a mark of honour for deceased journalist, a human rights activist and politician.
The tribute programme is scheduled to hold on Sunday April, 13, 2025 at June 12 Cultural Centre , Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital from 2pm, while the Chairman is Richard Akinola, a veteran journalist, as well as other notable speakers which include Mrs Funke Fadugba, also a veteran journalist and Chairman, Board of Trustees of Oniroyin Support Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organisation established by the deceased.
Penpushing further reports that another personality to speak at the event include Toyin Banjo, a closed family associate , who was with Oladunjoye at London hospital before he breathed his last, while beneficiaries of Oniroyin Support Initiative have equally been allocated time to give remarks, as well as others.
The organisers as at the time of filing this report have secured consent of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance(TRACE) to control traffic within and environs of the venue, as well as other security agencies in providing adequate security and conducive atmosphere for the event expected to last for 6 hours
Penpushing also reports that expected at the occasion include members of late Oladunjoye family, while guests and other participants are expected to arrive early enough to the venue, to enable those coming from outside Abeokuta to be able to return to their various destinations on time.
