Cameroonian Humanitarian, Pauline Lambou appointed advisory board member of Afrihealth Optonet Association

The Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA), has appointed a Cameroonian humanitarian expert, and founder of Women Coalition for Agenda 2030(WOCA) Mrs Pauline Lambou as a member of the International Advisory Board of the association, while the formal virtual inauguration has been scheduled to hold on August 29, 2023.

Penpushing reports that the letter of appointment sent to Lambou highlighted some roles expected from her as advisory member of the board, which include promoting the Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) among development institutions and communities across the World especially in your region/country.

‘Greetings and respects from Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA), as we hope and pray that you are well and safe. We have the pleasure to inform you that you have been appointed a member of the International Advisory Board (IAB) of the Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA)’, the letter reads.

Penpushing further reports that other roles are expanding an Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA)’s network through her guidance for the secretariat and her personal involvements/participation; guiding the Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA)’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) /leadership in specific subject matters;

The board member role equally includes connecting Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) to a new opportunities, challenges, partners, promoters and resources; providing guidance, expertise/skills and support for the realization of Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA)’s goals and objectives with her insights and positional resources;

Penpushing also reports that the letter added that she is expected in providing strategic advice that Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA)’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Management Team need to association goals and objectives; and providing any advice, guidance and support as may be requested through the organization leadership from time to time.

The profile of Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) has it that it is movement/network coalition and Think-tank works to explore the nexus between and within the following sectors: Health – including UHC, PHC, Reproductive Health, PHC, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), Malaria, NCDs, NTDs, Vaccines/Immunization and COVID-19;

Penpushing reports that the organisation’s profile also added energy and environment including biodiversity, environment, ecosystems, renewable energy, energy efficiency, conservation and climate change; nutrition/micronutrients and Food Security; gender, democracy, good governance, peace, human security and human rights; and sustainable development across regions, populations, communities and generations are part of its objectives

The Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) partners with the Society for Conservation and Sustainability of Energy and Environment in Nigeria (SOCSEEN) and has members/local Chapters in Nigeria’s 36 States and Federal Capital Abuja.

Penpushing further reports it also has national chapters in some countries, sub-regional chapters in North Africa, West and Central Africa, East and Southern Africa; and in America, Asia, Caribbean, Europe and Oceania regions. AHOA has a Consultative Status at the United Nations ECOSOC; and an accredited observer status at the UNEP/United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA).
