Business women group commiserates with late alaba lawson family, pledges burial support

The members of the NACCIMA Business Women Group(NAWORG) Ogun State Chapter have visited the family of the late Iyalode of Yorubaland and founding mother of the group, Iyalode Alaba Lawson to commiserate with the family.

Penpushing reports that the Chairperson of the Chapter Mrs Cynthia Saka led the executives and other members of the group to the private residence of the deceased at Quarry Road of Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The delegation was received by the children of the late business mogul and educationist, alongside other family members, pointing out that the demise of Lawson was a big blow to the business industry across the globe.

Penpushing further reports that Saka who spoke on behalf of the team equally expressed decision to participate fully in the burial arrangements, noting that the deceased worked so hard to put the group together

‘We also lost our her but her legacy remains. She has worked so hard to put this group in shape in Ogun State and also to support all women and girl child. We will try all we can to support the family in the burial arrangement and also to work with Ogunccima and Abeoccima in the preparation and as host to all other women organisation coming in’, Saka said

Penpushing also reports that the chapter boss assured that the group will work round the clock in ensuring that the business legacy left behind by the late Lawson remain strong and stronger, stressing that they would make her happy in the grave

‘With heavy heart and submission to the will of Jehovah, the Executives and members of NACCIMA Business Women Group, Ogun State Chapter express our condolences to Lawson and Jiboku family and entire Chamber movement on the passing of our mother and mentor, iyalode OluwasEun Alaba Lawson, MFR who passed- on Saturday 29th October, 2023 at the age of 72’, Saka wrote in a statement.

‘Iyalode Alaba Lawson was not only a mother and mentor she a respected industrialist who have make great contribution in all aspects of life. Iyalode Alaba Lawson was the Global Convener of the NACCIMA Business Women Group and the first female President of Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture’, Saka added.

‘Iyalode Alaba Lawson will be remembered for her support and contribution to the development of women, promoting girl child education and economic welfare of women. Her impact will be felt by generation to come and her memory will forever remain in our heath. May we find solace in the legacy she left behind and Jehovah comfort the family’, the group emphasised.
