The Nigerian Police has appointed a new Force Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, who on Thursday took over from his predecessor Muyiwa Adejobi, recently promoted as Deputy Commissioner of Police and subsequently deployed to be in charge of operations in Delta State.

Penpushing reports that it would be recalled that Adejobi who was appointed in 2022, had earlier announced his successor in a post on the Nigeria Police Force(NPF’s) official X page, adding that the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun appointed Hundeyin as the new police spokesperson to ensure continuous positive relations with the public.

The new Force Public Relations Officer a graduate of English Language from Lagos State University, a Master’s degree holder in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan until his appointment i served as the Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command

Penpushing further reports that Hundeyin’s credentials equally showed that his training includes civil-military coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State.

The police spokesperson, a chief superintendent of police (CSP), beyond academic qualifications, has international exposure, having been part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020.

Penpushing also reports that within the Force, he has served at Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Lagos and at the Public Relations Department of the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Force Public Relations Officer is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).

The Inspector-General of Police has, however, charged him to leverage on his communications and security experience to bolster the Force Public Relations activities and ensure continuous positive relations with the public, while he can be reached on 07062606717 or benjamin@hundeyin.com.
