Bandits have again attacked Tegina in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, a town where they (bandits) earlier abducted 136 pupils of an Islamiyya School on May 30, 2021
Penpushing reports that, in the latest attack, the bandits abducted four persons in the community, while as at the time of filing this report, the bandits have contacted families of the victims, requesting for N150million as ransom
The source in the community disclosed that the victims were kidnapped on Sunday night at a water factory opposite Government Secondary School, Tegina, adding that those abducted include a health worker identified as Sani Garba and the owner of the water factory, Bako BK.
Penpushing further reports that, the other victims are the manager of the factory, Kasimu Lawan, and one of its workers, Mas’udu Ibrahim, while as at the time of this report residents, explained that the armed bandits stormed the town and went straight to the factory.
The Niger State Commissioner of Police, Bala Kuryas, confirmed the incident, but said one of those kidnapped managed to escape, adding that the police were working to arrest those involved
