The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume on Saturday led other clerics to pay last respect to Prof David Bamgbose, a frontline member of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN)

Penpushing reports that, the deceased was also the Governorship Candidate of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), in Ogun State, before death snatched him away on September 2, 2022 at a private hospital in Abeokuta, after a brief illness

The renowned clergyman, who cut short his trip in United Kingdom following the sudden demise of Bamgbose, described the late church leader and a politician, with genuine enthusiasm to contribute his quota to the development of the state and country

Penpushing further reports that, Achudune pointed out that, the late Bamgbose, an educationist would be missed, just as he encouraged Christians to participate in politics, saying when the righteous governed, the people rejoiced.

The known frankly speaking cleric, took time to caution politicians not to manipulate the electorate in deceiving to elect right choice at the forthcoming 2023 general elections, stressing that it was right for the country to get it right.

Penpushing also reports that, the Presidential candidate of People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Kola Abiola was not left out at the burial service, which took place at Peace and Love Church of God Worldwide in Abekouta, the Ogun State Capital.

The politician, who is the son of the late presumed winner of the 1993 Presidential election, Chief Moshood Abiola  paid glowing tributes to the deceased describing him as people oriented man as well as a man who stood for true education for all.

Penpushing also reports that, Abiola lamented his inability to meet Bamgbose before his demise, assuring that the deceased would not be forgotten by the party, adding that his legacies will be part of the party’s strategies for campaign in 2023.

‘We have a grand plan which he will have been part of but PRP is a big family and he will never be forgotten. His legacies will be part of our strategies for campaign in next year’s election. I plan to work closely with him as educationist. We have many professors in PRP.  We want to assure you all that we will give equal leverage to education for all. You are part of PRP. It is a shame I never get to meet him’, he said.

Penpushing reports that, the Preacher, Bishop Samuel Olumakinde in his sermon, admonished all the people to live a purposeful life, adding that it was only thing God is looking for in them, describing the current situation in country as pathetic.

The officiating Minister who spoke from Luke chapter 23 verse 28 of the Holy Bible used the occasion in calling on government to do something urgently to save the country from total collapse, stressing that what God is looking after is fulfilment of purpose.

“What God is looking after is fulfilment of one purpose in life. I am asking us, are we living a life of purpose. Bamgbose has lived a purposeful life with all the people have said today. Let’s live a purposeful life. I have travelled a lot and I can say the situation is this country is pathetic”, he said

Penpushing further reports that, some of the dignitaries at the church service included the Apostle Achudume, General Overseer Victory Life Bible Church International (VLBC), Bishop Samuel Olumakinde Alawode of Maranatha Lord Cometh Ministries, Ibadan, Oyo State,

The other personalities are Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji(Founder Penpushing Media), Chairman, Inter-Party Advisory Council, Samson Okusanya, representative of People’s Democratic Party ( PDP), leadership of Peoples Redemption Party(PRP), representatives of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN),, as well as members of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Penpushing also reports that, the remains of the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) were later laid to rest at his compound located at Oke-Ata, Housing Estate, Abeokuta, the state capital.
