Residents of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, have become apprehensive, following the uncertainty about the whereabouts of a bubbling personality and former Commissioner for Information in the state, Deaconess Doyin Ogunbiyi.
Penpushing reports that the sudden silence of Ogunbiyi from social media, where she was very active and had her last Facebook post on November 27, last year, her withdrawal from public, including community activities and government functions, have caused panic among her friends, community members, as well as associates.
The two time commissioner, who served under military and civilian administrations in Ogun State, has remained incommunicado and also not been responding to telephone calls, a development said to be unusual.
Penpushing further reports that, the development has equally heightened fear among residents in her community and environs, where she was in the vanguard of the development of the area and the youths.
The convener of a Non-Governmental Organization, known as Voice of Ogun Women (VON), is very active on facebook and other social media networks, while her amiable disposition also makes her noticeable at public functions.
Penpushing also reports that, calls made to her telephone numbers have since not been answered, even as at the time of filing this report, which further caused anxiety for her numerous associates across the globe.
The question on the lips of her anxious associates, friends and well wishers is what could have happened to the lively Mrs. Doyin Ogunbiyi to have made her withdraw from public space, without prior notice of her traveling or going on any spiritual retreat.
