The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), voluntary arm on Wednesday  organized a one-day anti-corruption sensitisation program to address the menace which is almost becoming order of the day in the society.
Penpushing reports that the programme was held at Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre, Abeokuta,Ogun State Capital where a sketch drama to draw attention to evil of corruption, was performed by the cultural troupe of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC))
The highlights of the ceremony also include decoration of some individuals and corporate organizations as anti- corruption ambassadors, while certificates were equally handed over to them
Penpushing further reports that, coordinator of the voluntary under the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC body, Idris Abu in his speech explained that, the sensitization programme became necessary in view of the disturbing and rampant corruption in the country.
The coordinator on the awardees, explained that they were carefully selected based on their track records of integrity, adding that their being decorated as antic corruption ambassadors will motivate them to do more, and encourage others to fight corruption.
“Integrity is telling yourself the truth , honesty means telling others the truth. These two concepts will go a long way in reducing corruption in Nigeria because we cannot totally terminate corruption,we can only reduce it to the barest minimum”, he said
Penpushing also reports that, in his own speech,  Olukile Olusesan
said the purpose of the crusade is to robustly review the activities of all anti-corruption agencies, with assurance to use binocular to peep into any hidden agenda of these agencies for public consumption.
” In consonance with  global best practice.  We will also employ our binocular instruments acquired when we were in public service to peep into any hidden agenda of this agencies for public consumption”,he emphasized
