The Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of 2027 poll Senator Solomon Adeola has lost the head of his family at Ago Isaga Compound, Pahayi-Yewa, Ilaro, Chief Michael Adelani Ogundimu.
Penpushing reports that a statement by Media Adviser to the Senator, Chief Kayode Odunaro said Ogundimu passed on in the early hours of Tuesday at the age of 85 years after a brief illness.
The statement stated that Adeola, a Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District expressed shock and great sadness at the demise of the head (Oloriebi) of Onibata family in Ago Isaga, Ilaro .
Penpushing further reports that Odunaro said the deceased had stood by Adeola through thick and thin as an illustrious son of the family over the years adding that his loss is an irreplaceable as a repository of the history of the Isaga people domiciled in Pahayi- Yewa, Ilaro, Yewa South local government area of the state.
“Baba Ogundimu, famously called “Baba Yayi” over the years was a great uncle to me. He was full of encouragement for me as a son of the Onibata family and was ready at all times to narrate the genealogy of the family for many generations of Isaga people’, Adeola said.
Penpushing also reports that Adeola said he will surely missed the deceased usual wise counsel and encouragement to continue in the noble trajectory of good governance for his people
The bereaved in a condolence message to the late elder’s immediate family pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and the fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss of dearly departed.
Penpushing reports that the statement emphasized that the late Ogundimu was the Akinrogun of Pahayi-Yewa and was a former councilor of Ilaro Ward 1, Yewa South local government area of Ogun State.
