The Ogun State Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has joined race under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to secure a slot of Ogun West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections
Penpushing reports that political source confirmed her nomination and expression-of-interest forms which were obtained on her behalf, a development which established earlier rumoured of her interest to replace Senator Solomon Olamilekan who is currently representing the district and now consensus Governorship flagbearer of the party
The source added that the Deputy Governor has strategically placed herself to displace other aspirants which include Senator Gbolahan Dada, Waliu Taiwo; and Jimoh Ojugbele, said to have equally obtained the requisite forms
Penpushing further reports that the source added that some women’s groups and her loyalists within the All Progressives Congress (APC) have commenced mobilization for her ahead of the party’s consensus arrangements.
The Deputy Governor when contacted by Penpushing Media on Wednesday evening confirmed her interest to contest for the slot to enable her represent Ogun West Senatorial District in 2027 at the national assembly
