The Osile Oke-Ona of Egbaland Oba Adedapo Tejuoso has picked the choice of a notable Oke-Ona woman and retired Permanent Secretary in Ogun State Civil Service, Chief (Mrs) Afolashade Kokumo as the new Iyalode of the kingdom.
Penpushing reports that Kokumo, a frontline faithful of the immediate past late Iyalode Alaba Lawson was considered as qualified and quality choice to take over the title having passed under tutelage of the deceased who in her life time did not hide her genuine love, trust and confidence for Kokumo and her family.
The royal father in similar manner will on same day conferred the husband of the new Iyalode, Babatunde Johnson Kokumo, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police with chieftaincy title of Mayegun of Oke-Ona at the palace of Karunwi 111, Oranmiyan located at Sapon in the ancient town on same day, Saturday February 8,2025
