The Ogun State Women Entrepreneurs in collaboration with KVP Project on Tuesday organized a day training on the leveraging on social media marketing to promote business for the Women Entrepreneurs across board.

Penpushing reports that the training which had in attendance number of female participants was held at Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (ABEOCCIMA) located in Oke Igbein, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Capital.

The facilitator for social media for business road workshop, Mr David Alonge in his lecture emphasisied the influence of social media marketing to promote business and equally provided marketing ideas and audience engagement strategies during an interactive session.

Penpushing further reports that Alonge stressed on the need for tailoring the content for specific audience segments to show that they understand how to cater for their unique needs and the key factors that determine the right social media platforms appropriate for their business growth.

The facilitator while analyzing the marketing strategies noted need to use emojis in their contents to pass the feeling to the readers to create a sentimental post and an interactive content also adding the need for using polls to gain insight on customers preferences.

“I would encourage entrepreneurs to make use of emojis while creating content and use polls because it is an easy and effective way to engage your audience and gain insights into their preferences and also create a reality goal while prioritizing your contents. Before creating content, you must have a strategy in place on how to evaluate growth, engagement and conversion focusing on creating value for your target audience” he said.

Penpushing also reports that a beneficiary of the training Mrs Olajumoke Odeyemi in an interview affirmed that the workshop has further enlightened her on content writing and best way to improve her business

“I learnt more about content writing and how to create content for my business. I also learnt about the qualities I should look for when I want a target audience and how I can grow my business on social media’, she said.

Penpushing reports that Odeyemi who thanked the organisers of the workshop pointed out that one other lesson she learnt was it is better to start from small stage, to attain greater height, stressing that Rome was not built in a day

‘From the action we were told to take in the last training session, I created a Facebook page and created a content introducing my business. Something else I have learnt is that it is better to start small and one should not be bothered whether people are getting to know you in large numbers, slow and steady definitely wins the race so I want to appreciate and thank the organizers for this great opportunity” she said.

Penpushing further reports that another participant Mrs Omotolani  Ogunde in her remarks emphasized on how she has benefitted from the programme and showed appreciation to the organizers of the program

“I want to appreciate the crew that organized this training because I learnt a lot especially concerning media content. All the things I have been taught since last week have really helped me to gain more people on social media’.

‘I used to think that only those involved in illegal activities that usually get something on social media but later on I realized that anyone can do it, for instance in my business I distribute solid ice blocks to parties, fruits  among many others but through this training, it has helped promote my business and taught me that I can also introduce it to social media so I can gain more people to patronize me in my business” she said .
