The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC) Apostle Lawrence Achudume has tasked the Nigerian Government to revive the comatose Bulk Purchase Corporations across the states, stressing that that was the best option to address the food shortage in the country

Penpushing reports that Achudume gave the challenge during his visit to the corporate headquarters of Penpushing Media located at Leme axis of Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta on Thursday, stressing that the revival of the corporations will control purchase and price.

The known frankly speaking cleric said on this the government does not need consultants to carry out operations at the bulk purchase corporations, and warned against politicizing it by appointing politicians to be in charge, but professionals.

Penpushing further reports that Achudume pointed out that Nigerians are not beggars and not lazy, hence, the government at all levels should do the needful in making life meaningful and comfortable for them

‘Government should activate bulk purchase corporation. This will remove poverty, it will control price and control purchase. There are template that can be use, government does not need consultant for that, but professionals. Government should not politicize it. Nigerians are hardworking and not lazy’, he stated

Penpushing also reports that the clergyman noted that there was no big deal in becoming a president, governor, senator or house of representatives’ members, emphasizing that what is important is exhibiting good leadership by providing good governance.

The cleric pointed out that it is unfortunate that reverse is the case in Nigeria, pointing out that majority of those in power of authorities always see themselves above the governed, and subjecting them to maltreatment.

‘There is no big deal becoming President, Governor, Senator or member House of Representatives, but some of them see themselves as being above others. Governance should touch the grassroot. Ironically, many leaders does not even prepare for leadership role. A good leader must be able to walk freely and would not be stone’, Achudume emphasized
