A foremost industrialist and Evangelist of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Evangelist Joseph Ogunremi has joined the league of octogenarian in a grand style, as the family rolled out drums to celebrate him in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
Penpushing reports that the ceremony which was attended by former President Olusegun Obasanjo alongside other dignitaries within and outside the country was kick-started with a thanksgiving service at the Celestial Church Christ, Ibara, Abeokuta.
The train of the celebration thereafter moved to marquee events centre Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, where reception was held for hundreds of guests who came to celebrate with the octogenarian.
Penpushing further reports that at the colourful events were encomiums and accolades for the celebrator who was in company of his wife Ronke Ogunremi, children, grandchildren and other family members
The ceremony recorded attendance of personalities which include Ogun State Deputy Governor, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, her better half, Alhaji Bode Oyedele, Anthony Ojesina former Governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party, (SDP), Elder Joju Fadairo former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogun State Chapter, Olu of Abule Owu, Oba Aremu Koleoso and representative of founder of Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji
Penpushing also reports that the list include captains of industries, media managers, business associates, politicians, families, well-wishers and friends., as well as top hierarchy of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide.
The preacher at the Church Service, Evangelist Jacob Nunayon of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) International headquarters, who gave his sermon from the book of Psalm 116, admonished the celebrant to be full of praise and thanksgiving to God for preservation of his life in good health.
Penpushing further reports that Chairman of the occasion Sup. Evang. M Sodunke, who doubles as a friend of the 80-year old celebrator described him(Ogunremi) as an Icon and respected member of the Celestial Church of Christ.
The reception chairman added that the celebrator was a role model in the church and outside the church, pointing out that it was a great opportunity to reach the age of 80, inspite of the hostility in the world
‘It is a great thing to reach the age of 80 , particularly when the world is hostile. You are an Icon and a respected member of Celestia Church of Christ l. I thank God for your life”, the chairman at the reception emphasized
Penpushing also reports that in his own remarks at the ceremony, Elder Joju Fadairo described Ogunremi as a man whom God has blessed, saying he is a very accommodating and caring person, as he prayed for him to continue eating fruits of his labour
The former Governorship Candidate of Social Democratic Party(SDP), Engr Anthony Ojeshina in his own comments stated that Ogunremi was a special creation from God, saying he is a gifted person whom God is using to touch lives, adding that he deserved to be honoured.
Penpushing reports that a family friend Dr. Daniel Olugbenga in his remarks at the occassion, said the celebrator is a father, leader of leaders, caring and a loving person, who also deserved to be honoured and celebrated
The celebrant’s wife, Princess Ronke Ogunremi expressed joy to have had him as her better half and described him the best husband in the world and God sent, while their daughte, Keji Ogunremi, while speaking described her father as a generous man, forgiven and great man.
‘What can I say than to thank God. He is the best husband in the World. He is very loving, caring and he is not a trouble maker. Let me tell you, he is an asset to me. I wish him long life and best of everything in life”, the wife said
Penpushing also reports that the highlight of the grand celebration was cutting of a beautiful cake and launching of a book titled ” God Destiny, Joseph: A journey of Grace” in honour of the celebrant, who earlier read the only Bible lesson from the book of Psalm 34, verse 1-8.
The celebrator in his response, thanked all the guests for honouring him with their presence, adding that he is fulfilled in life through God’s grace, and equally thanked God has been kind to him, just as he advised young generation to fear the Almighty God in all their doings.
‘God has been so marvelous and kind to me. He has never allowed devil to reign over me, despite being an orphan since toddler. God is marvelous and kind to me all my life. He is the architect of my life. I give him all glory and adoration”, Ogunremi emphasised.
