Okada riders association boss,Solebo warns against reckless driving by members, threatens sanction

Penpushing reports that the call was contained in a statement by Senior Special Assistant On Media to the chairman, Prince Oluwafemi Akinlawon and equally cautioned the Okada operators to desist from reckless driving and fake ticketing, which he described as against the principles and conducts of transportation unions.

The statement added that the organization boss popularly called  Solebo while addressing  the executive Council meeting in Abeokuta  lamented that several lives have been claimed and many have had some parts of their bodies amputated as a result of reckless driving which led to ghastly accident, stressing that passengers should promptly report any rider exhibiting certain characters such as; smoking, drinking, over speeding amongst others to the offices transport unions in the state for their own safety.

Penpushing further reports that he said the leadership of Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organisation (ROMO is more concerned about the safety of riders and passengers, adding that this was one of the objectives for the establishment of the agency.

“ROMO frawn at reckless driving on the roads in Ogun state and I want to appeal to passengers to report any riders who’s is seen doing such. The safety of riders and passengers is our most concern. We don’t take pleasure in road crash or death of anybody. We are love all riders and that’s we will do everything possible to take disciplinary actions against offenders. To all commercial motorcycle riders, please desist from the act of fake ticketing, this is against the moral standard of transport unions in Ogun state. let’s work together to move ROMO forward”, he emphasised
