The Ogun State Government has given out new official cars to 38 Permanent Secretaries with explanation that, the beneficiaries deserves the gestures for their contributions to the success of the administration
Penpushing reports that, Governor Dapo Abiodun who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi at the official presentation of the cars, said it was done to appreciate them and called on the Permanent Secretaries to continue to imbibe entrepreneurial skills that will make the agencies of government more viable.
The Governor said the administration was on a long journey together with the Permanent Secretaries and urged them to deploy entrepreneurial sense in their duties so that the government can make more impact on the governed and state at large.
.Penpushing further reports that, he said the state had great potentials which his administration was set to unlock to further improve the fortunes of the state in order to make life more comfortable for the people, urging the top government officials to continue to support and cooperate with his administration.
The Governor pointed out that any house divided against itself cannot stand, while, it is recalled that the Governor had informed in his speech delivered on the 2022 May Day celebration that his administration has procured official cars for all the Permanent Secretaries , which include those appointed by this administration and those appointed by the immediate past administration who are still in service.
Penpushing also reports that, Chairman body of Permanent Secretaries,Kola Fagbohun speaking on behalf of his colleagues expressed gratitude to the Dapo Abiodun-led administration for yet another welfare package of brand new officials cars at a period of great financial challenges at all tiers of government in our polity
Meanwhile, Fagbohun pledged that the body of Permanent Secretaries would continue support to the government towards moving the state forward to an enviable reference point for more impactful governance.
