The first son  of Osile Oke-Ona, Oba (Dr) Adedapo Tejuoso, Prince Lanre Tejuoso is to be installed as Baba Ijo of Cathedral of St James African Church, located in Idi-Ape area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.

Penpushing reports that, investigation showed that, the installation of Tejuoso, a Medical Doctor like his father is scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10am, with reception to be followed within the church premises.

The Prince who is born to the royal family of Karunwi 11, as at the time of filing this report, has already issued out invitees to his guests, within and outside Abeokuta, his hometown, for them to join him in the epoch event

Penpushing further reports that, Tejuoso who was a Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District of Ogun State at the National Assembly during the immediate past political dispensation was  born in  Abeokuta in 1964.

The profile has it that, he started his elementary education at the University of Lagos Staff School in 1967 and thereafter went to Igbobi College, Lagos in 1974 for his secondary education.

Penpushing also reports that, after his secondary education in1981, he got admission into the University of Lagos where he studied Medicine before going abroad to complete his specialties in telemedicine and medical computing, and became a Doctor at the age of 21, making him one of the youngest Doctors in Nigeria

The profile added that, he completed his National Youth Service at the Nigerian Ports Authority Medical Hospital where he served the nation for his compulsory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme, while after  his service year he had a brief stint at Teju Hospital, now Iyaode Bisoye Tejuoso Hospital, where he practised as a Medical Officer.

Penpushing reports that, he was on the board of many blue chip companies including Berger Paints Nigeria PLC, Custodian and Allied Insurance, Teju Industries Ltd, Iyalode Bisoye Tejuoso Hospital and Adonai Petroleum.

The new Baba Ijo is the founder of Avicenna International School and Buckswood School, while he was also the president of Rotary Club of Tejuoso, Surulere Lagos from 1990 to 1991 and was the Chairman of Lagos Badminton Association between 1993 and 1994.

Penpushing further reports that, Tejuoso  founded a Non-Governmental Organization(NGO)  Iyalode Bisoye Tejuoso Malaria Foundation to give medical assistance to the masses for free.

The Prince joined Ogun state politics in 2007 when he made an attempt to represent the Ogun Central Senatorial District on the platform of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in the Senate during the tenure of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as president but lost out to Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello.

Penpushing also reports that,he the joined the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) that fielded General Muhammadu Buhari as its presidential candidate in the elections of 2011 and later moved to Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN) which later merged with the Congress for Progressive Change(CPC) and other parties to form the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Meanwhile, the medical practitioner turned  politician in the 2015 elections, contested for the Ogun Central Senatorial District  seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and  emerged winner.
