The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) has collaborated with the Ogun State Government to organize a security conference for top security decision-makers in Nigeria ,scheduled to hold between 26th– 28th April, 2022.
Penpushing reports that, the Commandant, Civil Defence College of Security and Management, Dr Rachael Awosusi made this known at a press conference held at Conference Hotels, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The Commandant accompanied by the workforce and consultants for the project said the conference with the theme, ’Security: A Collective Responsibility’ will hold at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in the town.
Penpushing further reports that, Awosusi explained that the project known as ‘Gateway Secure Confab 22’ is hosted by the organizers to create highly interactive platform where attendees can effectively be equipped with up to date security management skills and tactics
‘A knowledge platform for professional security operatives. Platform for dealers, distributors, government officials and ministries to discuss challenges rocking the sector. A packed full 3-days of expert dialogue and in-depth analysis of the present and future security management’, she said
Penpushing also reports that the security boss added that the meeting will equally look into comprehensive media round table and coverage of the latest innovations and trends, emphasizing that target audience include professional security operatives and private guards
The Commandant added that, other targeted audience are Chief Security Officers of corporate organizations, security students, security gadgets traders, expert in security, government representatives and decision makers.
Penpushing reports that, Awosusi said objective of the conference is also to create strong partnership, bond and interaction between private and public sector security architecture, to assist government and private companies with project that will showcase them to top inventors.
The objectives are in similar vein, to create meeting point for security operatives and the public to air their views on security challenges rocking the society, to effectively reach out to all industry stakeholders on government befitting policies on security.
Penpushing further reports that, the objective will also showcase various elements of security developments for investment where collaboration between governments, private sector, development partners, business owners and the public will converge.
The objective will identify new security market entrants, corporate individual, private or public organizations that are interested in doing security business in Ogun state, and to facilitate a conducive environment for best professional practice and ethics among stakeholders in attendance
Penpushing also reports that, a top member of the workforce, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab in his brief remarks at the press conference, pointed out that the synergy is intact; adding that the conference will help solving community problems in regards insecurity
