Segun Showunmi in Ibadan

An Ibadan based Baptist cleric, Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Orowale has disclosed that he had once considered resignation as a Pastor due to some challenges he faced while in vine yard of God.

Penpushing reports that  Orowale, while speaking  during the ’15th year Appreciation Service and Books Launch’ in his honour held in Ibadan stated that he was devastated when he lost his first wife when their marriage was just 11 months.

The cleric, who is currently the Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Omi-Adio, Ibadan while narrating his ordeal said he felt elated as the church deems it fit to celebrate hi  15 years of being the Minister in charge of the church.”

“I feel elated as the church deems it fit to celebrate my 15years of being the minister in charge of this church. I resumed to this church 1st July, 2005 and got married February 2006. Unfortunately, I lost my first wife when the marriage clocked 11months. I was shocked and considered quitting but the Lord be my anchor”

Penpushing further reports that Orowale who spoke on some books he has written said that one of his greatest joys in the ministry has been the privilege God gave him to transform the church from its initial status to its current form.

“My first book titled “The Imminent Return of Christ” was my thesis when I was at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso and God ministered to me to turn it to a book to encourage Christians to await the second coming of Jesus while ‘Covenant and Curse Erasing Blood’ was written for Christians to know that it’s only the precious blood of Jesus that can cleanse curse.”

Penpushing also reports that the President of Ibadan Baptist Conference, Dr. Stephen Adekunle in his s encouraged Orowale to be a renewed vessel of God,and equally urged congregants  to plant viable seeds at this critical time for abundant harvest in due time.
