Gunmen kill eight persons in Kaduna state, cart away 180 cows

Gunmen have again caused sorrow and tears, killing eight persons in separate incidents in Kajuru and Kachia local government areas of Kaduna State., while three persons were also critically injured

Penpushing reports that Commissioner for Internal Security and Homeland Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, made this known on Tuesday in a statement, stating that the armed bandits barricaded the Kaduna-Kachia road around Kadanye village in Kajuru local government area , opening fire on a bus and a truck carrying firewood, and killed five persons.

The commissioner  gave identities  of those murdered  as Alfred Makinde, driver of the bus, Abdulrahman Dela, Dauda Adamu, Umar, Dauda and Abdulrasheed Musa, adding that those who suatained injuries were as at the time of filing this report  receiving treatment in a hospital.

Penpushing further reports that, he disclosed names of the injured as include: Murtala Ibrahim, Ali Manager and Abdullahi, adding that the gunmen also barricaded the Kaduna-Kachia road at the Doka axis of Kajuru local government area and shot at a truck, killing the driver.

The commissioner added that in a related attack which occurred in Kachia local government area the  bandits stormed  a herders settlement in Inlowo village, and killed  a person identified as Ibrahim Haruna, and thereafter carted  away 180 cows.

Penpushing also reports that, Aruwan said in another development, the bandits rendered havoc at Akilbu village in Kachia local government area where they injured two persons, having shot their vehicle.

The commissioner revealed identities of the victims as Mansur Ibrahim and Muhammadu Aminu, adding that one of them (Ibrahim) later died in a hospital while Aminu is still receiving treatment.

Penpushing reports that, Governor Nasir El-Rufai lamented over the sad incidents, sent condolence messages to the families of the deceased, while praying for the repose of their souls, and wished the injured a quick recovery
