A mild aged man arrested for alleged internet fraud has confessed to the crime and exhibited his skills in the presence of his interrogators, explaining that his type of operations in the online scam is called ‘wire wire”, declaring that there no bank account he cannot not hack.
Penpushing reports that, the suspect in a confessional statement in a video of about four minutes which had gone viral said all what he needs to withdraw and transfer money from the account of his victims is their zim cards
‘What I do is ‘wire wire’, and this has to do with any zim cards that receive bank transaction alert. I can work on any zim card, and what I do is to dial *452*100#, and doing this it will disclosed identity of the account owner’
‘For example if it is access bank I will just press *901*00# it will show account balance. After that what I do is to reset the pin code, it will request for the account balance and date of birth of the original owner, after that I will download all details of the account through*565#0#’,
Penpushing further reports that, the suspect who claimed that he can convinced his interrogators about his dexterity on the operations, if allowed, explained that, after getting details account of his victim, he would register the account with new information.
‘Thereafter it will be registered with new information, create a new pin, to transfer money from the account. I can even show the modus operandi to you. If its salary account, which most time has no money, I used the account to get loan from the bank’.
‘I will hack any available account with ease. To transfer such money, I always open a no trace account, with BVN of another person, which cannot be detected even by bank authorities and transfer the money directly to the account I opened for the operations’, he stated.
