The former federal lawmaker under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Micky Kazzim has explained that his movement to Allied People’s Movement (APM) to contest for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections was an homecoming for him.

Penpushing reports that Kazzim made this clarification during an interview with journalists, explaining that the movement was also informed by his desire to further actualize his selfless service to the nation, the state and his constituents.

“It is important I form alliance with a credible party and also join the movement with people whom, together we can work to achieve our common goals of national peace, development and progress. This I found in Allied People’s Movement (APM), hence my movement from All Progressive Congress (APC) to APM’, he stated.

“Categorically, I shouldn’t be misquoted if I say APC and APM are children of same father but different mothers. Looking at the foundations of both parties, there is no need for any proof, it is obvious that, my recent movement from APC to APM is definitely a home-coming’.

Penpushing further reports that the candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) on the forthcoming elections stated that amongst other party’s candidates gunning to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, he is most qualified.

The notable politician pointed out that despite being out of political office for four years, he is bold to say he has touched the lives of the constituents more than the incumbent, adding that his track records, educational background and experience put him in good stead for the job.

Penpushing also reports that Kazzim a graduate of Stirling University, United Kingdom, recalled  that his sojourn to the 8th national assembly has further proven doubters wrong that representation goes beyond legislation.

The politician while reeling out his achievements as a lawmaker during the 8th Assembly where he represented Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode and Odeda federal constituency, explained that his coming to Abeokuta South is to further spread development to his maternal constituency.

Penpushing reports that Kazzim disclosed that his crossing to Abeokuta South is by popular interest cum homecoming to promote better legislation, more infrastructural growth, even development, equal distribution of wealth and youth engagement to his maternal background.

The former federal lawmaker eyeing the seat again, is known to have during his first term at the assembly facilitated the approval, construction and commissioning of notable life changing projects distributed across different locations within Abeokuta South Federal constituency.

Penpushing further reports that in the area of Youth Development, six different primary schools, with their respective classroom buildings were constructed, renovated, commissioned and are already in use for children within Abeokuta South Federal constituency.

 

‘These projects were premised on the belief that, today’s children taught in a conducive, clean and fully equipped learning environment will definitely become good and reliable future leaders, we had always dreamt of’.

Penpushing reports that Kazzim also facilitated the construction of eleven classrooms in Our Lady of the Lords Primary School, Onikoko, Abeokuta,as well as  at the Methodist Primary School, Imo, Oke-yeke, Abeokuta, six  brand new classrooms were constructed plus fully renovated ten  old dilapidated classrooms to make learning easy and conducive.

The candidate  lobbied and got the approval for the construction of another eleven  classrooms newly built in St Augustine Primary School, Adatan, Abeokuta, which  has since been constructed, commissioned and in use by the pupils.

Penpushing further reports that records have it that, at St James Primary School Idi-Aba, the renowned politician facilitated the construction of twelve newly built classrooms, already in use as well, while he equally got the approval to build twelve new classrooms each for another two different schools, located within Abeokuta South Federal constituency, while one of such, C.A.C Primary Lantoro, Abeokuta was identified for such need, and has since been a beneficiary.

The gestures of Kazzim was also extended to, A.N.L.G Primary School, at Ilugun Asalu, a boundary town between Abeokuta South and Abeokuta North local government areas, now a proud beneficiary of twelve newly built class rooms already in use as well.

Penpushing also reports that in furtherance of Community Infrastructural Development programs, Kazzim donated and handed-over, two units of 500 KVA/11 KVA transformers to the Abeokuta South Zonal CDC

The politician as part of his community infrastructural development strides, identified the constant scarcity of portable water in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, and facilitated, constructed and handed-over for usage three industrialized boreholes situated in different locations within Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.

Penpushing reports that the first, is sighted at Iyana-Motuary area, behind the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, with another borehole sunk at Kuto, opposite the Kuto motor parks,  while similar is in the offing to be sighted  at Ake area of the ancient town.

The lawmaker on Youth Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation, has distributed twenty-five POS Kiosks to empower youths who are involve in POS business,  which will be more convenient for operations for their businesses.

Penpushing further reports that he therefore call on all voters in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency to elect him to represent the constituency at the National Assembly, on the platform of Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
