Former Speaker House of Representatives, Rt Hon Dimeji Bankole has joined the long list of Presidential aspirants under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to show interest in the race ahead of primaries of the party.
Penpushing reports that Bankole on Friday picked his nomination and interest forms on payment of the sum of N100 million, but it was not clear as at the time of filing this report if the forms were purchased for him by a group, as being done to some aspirants in the recent time.
The former Speaker confirmed the authenticity of his interest to contest to Penpushing media when contacted, as well as payment for the collection of the forms, but was silence on source of the payment.
Penpushing further reports that, former Governor of Zamfara State, Mahmud Shinkafi picked the forms on behalf of Bankole, accompanied by some chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
The former number three citizen led the House of Representatives at the National Assembly under the banner of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the past political dispensation and later joined the All Progressives Congress (APC)
