The United Nations (UN) has called on all nations across the globe on the need for equal distributions of coronavirus vaccines as the world move to next year.

Penpushing reports that, Secretary General of the world body, Antonio Guterres made the call in his new year message, noting that the world welcomes 2022 with hopes for the future being tested

The 9th Secretary-General, pointed out the hopes of future being tested includes deepening poverty and worsening inequality, an unequal distribution of coronavirus vaccines.

Penpushing further reports that, Guterres added that it equally include; climate commitments that fall short, and by ongoing conflict, division and misinformation, stressing that these are not just policy tests, but are moral and real-life tests.

The scribe expressed optimism that they are tests that humanity can pass, if we commit to making 2022 a year of recovery for everyone, stressing that, recovery from the pandemic with a bold plan to vaccinate every person, everywhere.

‘Recovery for our economies —with wealthier countries supporting the developing world with financing, investment and debt relief.  Recovery from mistrust and division — with a new emphasis on science, facts and reason’, he said.

Recovery from conflicts  with a renewed spirit of dialogue, compromise and reconciliation.  And recovery for our planet — with climate commitments that match the scale and urgency of the crisis’, he added.

Penpushing also reports that, Guterres noted that moments of great difficultly are moments of great opportunity, to come together in solidarity, and to unite behind solutions that can benefit all people

The Secretary General while stressing importance to make recovery as resolution for 2022, for people and planet, emphasized on need to move forward together, with hope in what human family can accomplish
