Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has accepted to work for the electoral victory of Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly called Yayi, who is the consensus candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State Chapter ahead of the 2027 poll
Penpushing reports that Amosun openly made his support known after a closed-door meeting with Adeola, at his private residence located in Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta.
The former Governor addressing the gathering after the duo private meeting emphasized that he has thrown his weight behind Yayi; in ensuring he win the forthcoming poll, to become the next governor of Ogun State.
Penpushing further reports that Amosun explained that from all indications, welcoming Yayi to his home was a clear testament that he (Amosun) is in full support of his (Yayi) governorship ambition
The two term governor at the event predicted that Yayi, no doubt will be the next governor of the state, and called on party supporters to immediately commence grassroot mobilization for All Progressives Congress (APC) towards victory in 2027
Penpushing also reports that the Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), earlier in his speech explained that his visit to Amosun was to appreciate and seek support of the former governor who he described as his leader.
The party flagbearer recalled that shortly after his emergence as consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Amosun had embraced him, with assurance that he would equally give him support towards electoral victory
