A prominent member of Penpushing platform and former Deputy Governor Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Pastor Tunde Lemo has lost his mother-in-law, Deaconess Rachael Coker, who died at age of 94.
Penpushing reports that the family in a statement of burial arrangement said Christian wake keep has been scheduled to hold on Thursday, May 28, 2026 by 5pm at Henry Townsend Hall, St Peters Cathedral, Abeokuta.
The statement added that funeral service will hold on Friday, May, 29, 2026 at Christ Anglican Church, Iporo Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, with reception to take place at Legacy Hall, Abeokuta Sports Club, Government Reservations Area (GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta
Penpushing further reports that the deceased was born to the family of Pa Abel Adekanu Osoyade and Madam Emily Adebowale Osoyade on April 24, 1932 at Asigidi in Ijebu Igbo. She was the third in the family of four.
The profile has it that she started schooling at the age of 6, at the St Stephen’s African School Asigidi and later proceeded to St John’s African School, Oke Agbo where she completed Standard 6 in 1948.
Penpushing also reports that in 1949, she left the countryside for the brighter side of life in the City of Lagos, and got her first job after a few months of diligent search at J.A. Ajayi Brothers, where she developed a passion for Secretarial career which made her to enroll with Olusola Commercial Typing Bureau.
The statement stated that it was there she met the Director: Mr (later Pastor) Obadiah Olutosin Olusola Coker who would later become her husband, and after her marriage, because of her love for children, she established a Montessori school where she dedicated her life to training infants and toddlers at the pre-school age.
Penpushing reports that she later converted the school to a Private Institute offering Day Care and Nursery/Primary and Coaching Center, while she gave her life to Christ at a revival service conducted at a CAC Church in 1968.
The late Mama was baptized by immersion in 1969 and was baptized by the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues in the same year, and later served as a Chorister and Sunday School Teacher until she received a higher calling to be a minister.
Penpushing further reports that she attended GAC Bible College from 1990-1992 and was ordained a Deaconess in 1999, and she was appointed the Vice President of the Good Women’s Fellowship in 2000.
The profile added that the deceased was a retired teacher and disciplinarian, who was blessed with 5 Children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
