The Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu after about three weeks of official visits to Saint Lucia and Brazil has returned to Nigeria, landing at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Penpushing reports that Tinubu was received by top government officials, including Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, and Minister of State Defence, Bello Matawalle, as well as National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Ibrahim Masari and a senator, Aliyu Wamakko.
The President it is recalled departed Nigeria on June 28, 2025 for diplomatic engagements in the Caribbean and South America, while his first stop was Saint Lucia, aimed at strengthening ties with Caribbean nations and enhancing South-South cooperation.
Penpushing further reports that Tinubu from Saint Lucia proceeded to Brazil to attend the 2025 BRICS Summit, held from 6th to 7th July, 2025, while on the sidelines, he held bilateral talks with Brazilian President Lula da Silva.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu and President Lula da Silva discussions focused on expanding trade, financing infrastructure, and deepening cultural collaboration.
