The Management of Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta on Wednesday in continuation of its free medical services and health campaigns offered residents of Abeokuta South Local Government Area the benefits
Penpushing reports that the services was held at Centenary hall, Abeokuta and its designed to cover all six local government of the Ogun Senatorial District with over 200 beneficiaries in attendance, as well as medical personnel of the institution engaging them in health talk.
The check by Penpushing Media to the venue showed provision of medical equipment to check the medical status of the individuals who turn up for the exercise, and part of the medical examinations include blood pressure, malaria parasite, typhoid, ulcer, diabetes, mental health evaluation, as well as provision of first aid, drugs and ambulances services.
Penpushing further reports that the Secretary of the Health Campaigns and Medical outreach Olubunmi Ojomo explained that the exercise is a federal government programme, which had earlier commenced operations across the country.
The Secretary of the committee who doubles as the Information Officer of the hospital added that the first phase of the exercise which aimed to cover the entire state, started from the local government situated in Ogun Senatorial District.
Penpushing also reports that she identified the local government under the senatorial district as include Abeokuta South, Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, Ifo, Ewekoro and Odeda, assuring that arrangements are in place to cover the entire district.
The committee scribe stated that at least 200 beneficiaries are targeted on daily basis to come forward for the free exercise, adding that Insecticide Treated Net (ITN) will also be distributed at every centres of the exercise.
