The remains of Princess Margaret Akiyode nee Omorogbe, mother of a frontline member of Penpushing platform, Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi will be committed to mother earth on Friday, May 30,2025 in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital

Penpushing reports that it is recalled that the bereaved daughter who is the founding Director of Women Advocates Research and Documentation Center (WARDC), a Non-Governmental Maternal and Reproductive had announced the death which occurred on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at age 89.

The burial arrangements made available by the family indicated that the programme will kick start with a service of song on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 by 4pm at REM Okota, number 7 Monsuru Bisiriyi Street, Tarred Road Bus Stop, off Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos State

Penpushing further reports that on Thursday May 29, 2025 a wake keep will take place at Margaret Akiyode Place, opposite Ijeja Stadium, Ijeja, Abeokuta, and burial service holds 10am on Friday, 30th May 30 2025 at TREM Onikolobo, opposite Fowobi Petrol Station, Onikolobo, Abeokuta.

The statement added that, thereafter, a reception scheduled to hold from 1pm will take place at Abeokuta Sports Club, number 1, Oba Ademola Road, behind Sweet Sensation, Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta

Penpushing also reports that the management and editorial of the media outlet in a letter of condolence signed by the founder Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji on behalf of membership across the globe commiserated with the family

The letter captioned ‘Penpushing media celebrates Mama Akiyode’s fulfilled life’ stated that the news of the death came as a thunderbolt to the management and was difficult to believe when it hit the airwave.

‘It was difficult to believe when the sad news spread like wildfire, indeed, the demise was big blow to the family and our organization. No doubt we will miss her, and her death is a huge loss to the Penpushing Platform where her daughter is a frontline member, while it is indisputable that her legacies are immense and remain indelible in our hearts’, the letter reads.

‘Her mentorship role to many people which cut across all gender, and ethics as well as religion deployed her Godly wealth of experiences to better the lot of the society, while it is our prayer that God shall grant her eternal rest’, it added.

‘Hopefully, we had envisaged that a loving soul and this great woman would be with us for a long time, but it has pleased the Almighty God, the unquestionable, to take her home for a deserved rest. Adieu, Mama good night’, Kayode-Adedeji wrote
