The younger sister of Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, has died four days after she was shot by armed robbers following attack by the gang in a vehicle carrying the governor’s mother and her along Kente Road in Wukari Local Government Area of the state.
Penpushing reports that the 44-year-old Atsi Kefas, died while receiving treatment in a private hospital in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for her injuries from the robbery attack which occurred on Thursday morning.
The mother of the Governor Jummai Kefas narrowly escaped bullets but the daughter was unlucky as she was shot and was immediately taken to the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Wukari, before being flown to Abuja for further treatment.
Penpushing further reports that the family and the state government as at the time of filing this report were yet to confirm the death of the lady but a reliable family source Tuesday established the sad news said to occurred on Monday night in Abuja, just as number of condolences have been posted on social media.
