Three deaf persons arrested for alleged burglary of residential building, carts N4million worth property

Three deaf and dumb persons have been arrested for alleged burgled of a residential building in Olokemeji extension of Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara located in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State.

Penpushing reports that nemesis caught up with the suspects on Monday at about 11.am when the landlord who was away to work, but suddenly returned home to meet the burglars, who had earlier created a hole of the fence of the building to gain access to the compound.

The burglars on gaining entry into the premises, broke the ceiling and gained entry into the main building where they ransacked the rooms, carting properties which include air-conditioners, laptops, electric wires and pumping machines among others said to worth N4million.

Penpushing further reports that the suspects realizing the presence sudden appearance of the landlord made attempt to run away, but the hole created on the wall by them could not contain them together, and one managed to escape, while one of them was apprehended.

The arrested suspect was handed over to the police by the community and later led operatives to arrest two other gang members, who as at the time of filing this report are undergoing interrogation at the Ibara Divisional Police Headquarters in Abeokuta.

Penpushing also reports that as at the time of this report, police are still searching for an interpreter to take statement of the three suspects, while sources said the trio are already cooperating with the authorities on investigation
