Religious body comprising Christians and Muslims on Monday organised a joint prayer session for former Ogun State Governor Chief Olusegun Osoba to join the world to celebrate him (Osoba) on his 85th birthday.
The ceremony was held at private residence of Osoba located in Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara Abeokuta and had in attendance personalities which include former Nigerian Ambassador to United Kingdom, Sarafa Isola, Chief Joju Fadairo chieftain of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt Hon Oludaisi Elemide(Speaker Ogun State House of Assembly), Hon Kunle Adeyemi, Mrs Bola Okikiola( Alhaji Adetokunbo Rasaq(popularly called Legelege) and women in politics among others.
Penpushing further reports that the focus of the prayer session was longevity for the celebrator and good health, as guests in their various remarks’ eulogies the former Governor on his leadership qualities making reference to his administration as remarkable in the history of the state.
The number of guests who spoke with Penpushing Media shortly after the ceremony recalled their various encounter with Osoba while in government and after leaving, stressing that he is a nobleman worth celebrating in all ramifications.
Penpushing reports that the ceremony was rounded up with funfare, as local music group known as Ogodo Egba, took over the venue, with number of songs to appreciate Osoba, while the guests particularly members of women in politics could not hold back their dancing skills.
The former Nigerian Ambassador to United Kingdom, Sarafa Isola in the same vein joined in the music funfare with the women in politics to equally exhibit his dexterity in dancing, as Ogodo music blares and rented the air.
Meanwhile, other personalities at the well-attended ceremony include Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji (Founder Penpushing Media) and Dr. Ade Abolurin(Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp), as well as Hon Damilola Soneye(member Ogun State House of Assembly)
