A 32-year-old man Gbenga Kolawole has been arrested for allegedly raping a drunk 16-year-old girl inside bar shop at Adubi community in Ogun State, while as at the time of filing this report the victim has been taken to a private hospital for treatment.
Penpushing reports that the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola who confirmed the incident said the mother of the victim reported to the police that the suspect took advantage of the drunkenness stage of the lady to commit the crime
‘Following a report from an aggrieved mother that her 16 years old daughter who got drunk during an annual Church year anniversary celebration on the 6th of November 2023 in Adubi Ogun State, and was taken by her to a nearby bar shop and locked there, became victim to one Gbenga Kolawole “m” 32yrs who had unlawful carnal knowledge of the drunk girl. He was however caught in the act by one Sunday Ibrahim “m” of same address’, the statement added.
Penpushing further reports that Odutola in the statement said the victim has been taken to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical attention and treatment while the suspect has been arrested for preliminary investigation.
