A man believe to be a blogger has offered himself to serve as a witness against the Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti who allegedly slapped a police officer while on duty in  a Lagos street, stressing that the police officer did not deserve such assault.

Penpushing reports that in a 3 minutes video released by the man said he was a living witness to the incident, adding that if the police authorities contacted him he was ready to give full details of the manhandling of the police by the musician.

The man who expressed his annoyance over Kuti’s conduct in pidgin emphasized that if police failed to arrest the musician and charge him to court, there are likely to be record of same treatment to other policemen in the country.

‘I wan give you full story of wetin happened between Seun Kuti and this police officer. If police call me I will give dem full details. I am a living witness. Na me dey drive behind this guy wey dey video this thing. I dey drive behind him’

‘You see this police man, make I give am flower. Men, if you dey there, if you dey there, as a civilian, wey you be, you can’t take it, but this man, he take am, men, get this straight, I know like police, we don’t like police, because why, if you think of the way police dey manhandle us civilians, dey manhandle us, dey treat us like hooligans, dey treat us like ruffians, that is why we no like police’, he stated

‘But e no go mean say, we go, go to extent of….. Kuti no even slap this guy alone ooo. Seun Kuti manhandled this police officer. See abi civilian, I no go fit take am, I swear to God, I no go fit take am. If Seun do this to me my last blood will die there’, he declared

‘Some people say Seun Kuti dey reacted because of his life, because of his family life under threat, which family. No be the wife you see for video wey come down to calm the situation, Seun Kuti aggressively send the wife back’

‘If police no arrest Seun Kuti, charge am to court, unna go see more of this video, because I go slap police officer too and if dey say dey wan arrest me, I will show dem this video. What nonsense is that? Nobody is above the law, arrest Seun  Kuti’, he emphasised.

‘If you dey there, you go cry, I dey there, I was there. Contact me I will give you the full gist. This officer, no deserve this thing, all of us no like police, but there are good policemen out there. If you jam a real good police officer, you will love police’
