Terrorists have kidnapped about 10 students of Government Secondary School, Awon (a day secondary school) in Kachia Local Government Area Kaduna State, while their location as at the time of this report was unknown.
Penpushing reports that the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the incident in a statement said the incident occurred on Monday, adding that investigation was ongoing
The Commissioner in a statement issued on Tuesday in Kaduna said preliminary investigation showed that ten students were victims of the kidnappers, adding that government will issue a public statement accordingly when the final reports are received.
‘The exact location of the incident is yet to be ascertained but detailed reports being awaited will clarify whether the incident occurred within the school premises or elsewhere. The government will issue a public statement accordingly when these reports are received,” he said.
