The Labour Party House of Representatives Candidate in Ogun State, at the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections Tolulope Phillips has debunked the circulating news on social media that he has left the party to join forces with another party after the poll of 25 February 2023.
Penpushing reports that Phillips debunked the speculations while addressing Labour Party(LP) loyalists at secretariat of the party located in Olorunsogo area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, stressing that the news was a falsehood and fake
The politician emphasized that he is still very much a bonafide member of Labour Party(LP), and remained committed to its developmental growth, and called on his supporters to dismiss such unfounded rumour and speculations
“I received one of the many Governorship candidates seeking our support politically in my office and as we all know, democracy permits formation of alliance, collaboration and support for one party or the other and doing this for me doesn’t translate to decamping to another party’, he emphasised.
Penpushing further reports that, however, disclosed that Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, the Governorship Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was one of the notable candidate soliciting for his support and the Labour Party
‘It is obvious that the Governorship candidate of Labour Party has not been recognized by Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) hence, reason many of the other party candidates are soliciting our support’’, Phillips added.
Penpushing also reports that, he said he alongside his supporters as at the time of filing this report still consulting on who to throw their support for and where they will be well accommodated, and therefore appealed to his teeming supporters to remain calm and be assured that he is still intact with Labour Party (LP)
