A Non -Governmental Organisation, Hope For New Life with headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital on Friday organized a get together party for the aged, widows and vulnerable children in celebration of Christmas.

Penpushing reports that the ceremony held at the Onikolobo area of the town had in attendance the beneficiaries in their hundreds from various parts of the state and were treated to wining and dining, as well as various gifts handed over to them.

The beneficiaries who went home with raw food items which include rice and others, as well as cash gifts were seen in high spirit and commended the organization for considering them worthy to enjoy the Christmas fun

Penpushing further reports that, Founder of the organization, Chief (Mrs) Bolatito Ade-Onojobi in her welcome speech explained that, the ceremony has been an annual events to encourage the beneficiaries in their day to day living.

The founder explained that the organization as a policy has its focus on helping the less privileged, taking care of the widows, orphans and the elderly, as well as sensitizing people and communities on gender based violence and violence against women and girls.

Penpushing also reports that, she disclosed that other areas of the organisation’s interest include community outreach on HIV, Tuberculosis, malaria and other diseases, as well as sensitizing people on coronavirus

The founder said the organization does not stop at that, and that it is working against child abuse, women facing matrimonial challenges and brutality, and needs to educate married women on how best to keep a resound marriages

Penpushing reports that, in appreciation of the organization’s concern for womenfolk, the a group of beneficiaries from Laderin community in Abeokuta presented award of excellence to the leadership of the organization

The award specified that, Ade-Onojobi was been honoured in recognition of her continued excellence war against violence on women and girls in the communities, and prayed that God will continued to uphold the organization

‘We the community response team in Laderin award you on this day of 23rd of December 2023. Award of Excellence of Your Continued Excellence War Against Violence on Women and Girls in our community’, the award reads
